MY STORY

Let’s go back, about seven years, to 2011 …
Athens airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”. People are rushing and anxiously searching for information on the departure screens. Just a minute, somewhere in the crowd of travelers, a young man is waiting and is reading a Spanish-Greek dictionary. He seems determined. Hey, that’s me! My 18-year-old self who has just graduated from the “Alpine” cooking school. A few minutes before I make the trip of my life!

A storm of thoughts overwhelmed me. Where am I going? Maybe those who told me that I wouldn’t be able to cope are right?

Ding dong, “We welcome you on our flight to San Sebastian”! I am heading to the 29th world-class restaurant, to the famous “Martin Berasategui” awarded with 3 Michelin stars! I didn’t listen to anyone but one man that encouraged me from the beginning, he said to me: “listen to your heart and just do it”!

My wandering into the magical world of high gastronomy began …
Anyone who hears this story usually says I had a lack of fear. But do you want to know what I think? Ever since I was young, I was very gutsy and I am sure that for this very reason I was able to cope with the cooking school but also wherever I have worked, as an assistant to a first chef…from the Grace Mykonos Boutique Hotel, to the Ritz Carlton Abama Golf & Spa Resort of Tenerife, to the Kabuki Wellinghton Sushi Restaurant (1 Michelin star Restaurant in Madrid), to the La Terrazza Restaurant in Rhodes Island, to the Unan Sushi Bar-Restaurant in Samos Island and to the restaurants, Yoko Sushi & Bento and Hokyo both in Athens. My greatest achievement is the title of MasterChef GR 2017! Now I’m also cooking on STAR CHANNEL for the morning TV show “In the Cuckoo’s Nest.”

Today I continue with the same passion and with what I have learned from a young age is to never give up! I’m sure the flame burning inside me helped me to achieve my goals, and it’s the same flame that continues to burn!
